Moon Calendar Assignment 1. Visit the Virtual Reality Moon Phase Pictures Web site (a virtual time machine that enables you to time-travel to see how the Moon would appear for almost any date in the past, present, and future). Enter your birthdate and click the "Show Phase" button. Using a pencil, sketch exactly how the Moon appears on your birthday (shade the dark side of the Moon). 2. Now, observe the moon at least three times a week for the next four weeks. Draw and label the moon phase on your moon calendar (given out in class). You can check for accuracy by using this website. 3. Want to watch a live animation of the moon’s phases? Click here!
