Typing en español

Accent marks on lower case letters

CTRL + ‘, then  the letter

Accent marks on capital letters

CTRL +  ‘ , then SHIFT and the letter

Upside down exclamation points or question marks

CTRL + ALT + SHIFT, then the ! or the ? button

Tilde

CTRL + SHIFT + ~ , then the letter n

 

 

Of course, all of these marks can be added by going to “insert”, then “symbol”, and choosing the symbol.

 

Also, you can spell check in Spanish (if that feature is available on your computer) by going to “tools”, “language”, “set language”, and then selecting “Spanish”.  There are many different types of Spanish (ex: Argentina, Spain, etc.) in this category, and any one that you select will work!
