B. ORCHESTRA SUPPLY LIST

All students should have the following supplies for the 2007-2008 school year

 

1. 3-Ring Black Binder (1” size)

2. 10 Clear Sheet Protectors

3. #2 Pencil

4. Properly working instrument

5. Electronic tuner (Matrix, Korg, Intelli-Touch) with pickup clip for bridge

6. Method book for your instrument:  

             6th Grade- Essential Elements 2000 Bk. 2

             7th Grade- Essential Elements 2000 Bk. 2

             8th Grade- Essential Technique 2000 Bk. 3

7. Essentials for Strings (Brown scale book for your instrument)

NOTES

 

 

A.  Wire music stands are optional supplies, but they are highly recommended.  We will use them whenever we                  travel.  Wire music stands are also great for practicing at home.

 

B.     Rubber rock stops and shoulder rests should be shown to the teacher for appropriate type and then marked with the student’s name or initials.  Fingernail polish, “White-Out Pens”, or metallic Sharpie pens may be used to mark the rock stop or shoulder rest.  All marks should be clearly visible.
