Exciting News!!!  WE’RE GOING TO SIX FLAGS!!

This is a performance evaluation event sponsored by Music in the Parks and all chorus classes are invited to participate. Students are not required to attend; participation is voluntary.  We will perform as one chorus, 6th, 7th & 8th grades combined, in the Middle School Class AA division and will receive a trophy and a rating of superior, excellent, good or fair, based on our performance.  This is a great opportunity for our entire chorus to perform and have a fun day at Six Flags together!  The performance venue is a near-by school and the awards ceremony is held at the park in the late afternoon or early evening.  Our performance schedule and itinerary are below, along with costs. 

Please carefully read the information below and respond accordingly.  We will need an accurate head count and payment from students to send in for the festival,  before spring break begins on April 4th, in order to meet the payment schedule for the Festival. The student price includes the Festival cost and we have included transportation costs as well.  Food costs are not included; students should plan to bring approximately $30.00 for lunch, dinner and snacks for the day.  Also, we will need parent chaperones – please indicate on the form if you are available to chaperone for the day. 

Festival, One Day Park Admission to Six Flags Over Georgia and Transportation Costs:

Student Price:  $65.00 *

Adult/Non-Performer Park Admission Price:      $27.00

* Students who have purchased a Season Pass to Six Flags will pay a reduced price for the Festival package and transportation costs:  $37.50

Tentative Itinerary  (warm-up and performance times are official)

7:20 am    Meet at Hopewell MS

7:45 am    Depart Hopewell MS

8:45 am    Arrive at Performance Venue

9:20 am    Warm-up

9:40 am    Perform

10:00am   Depart Performance Venue

10:20 am  Arrive at Six Flags Over Georgia

6:00 pm    Meet & sit together @ Arena (near Batman ride) for awards presentation in park

8:30 pm    Meet at exit gate for loading buses

9:30 pm    Arrive at Hopewell MS for parent pick-up

Remember, send in your payment as soon as possible to reserve your spot – no later than Friday, April 4th!  Please return your form with YES or NO so we have an accurate count!
