Project Directions

1. Research foods served in Spanish speaking countries by visiting the restaurant and food sites listed in Food Resources to get ideas for food you want to list on your menu. Take notes as you work.

2. Open the Web Site Template and save a copy to your Z drive:

· name the file  your last name, first initial  and the word “index”.

· file name should be all lower case, no spaces or punctuation.

· example: Mary Smith would name her file: smithmindex

3. Create the Spanish version of  the menu for the restaurant.

· You will find the template for the menu on page 2 of the web site template.

· Include illustrations—you may use clip art or pictures of food found on the Internet.

· Label the illustrations with the name of the food pictured

· Include prices for each item on the menu.

4. Create the Spanish version of the restaurant review for the restaurant.

· Use page 1 of the web site template.

· Replace the pictures on the template with photos or clip art that you choose.

· Be sure to discuss the food you ate, the service provided by the waiter and cook, how the table was set, how much the meal cost, etc.

· Be creative! Make the reader believe you really ate at this restaurant.

5. Create the Spanish version of a recipe for one of the items on the menu.

· Use page 3 of the web site template.

· Find a recipe on one of the Internet resource sites or bring one from home.

· Replace the pictures on the template with photos or clip art that you choose.

6. Duplicate each page of your web site. Instructions will be given in class.

7. Translate the duplicated we pages into English.

8. Check your work and review the project requirements.

9. Ask Ms. Clay to publish your web site to the World Wide Web.
