Text Box: MINUTES OF Hopewell MS Localschool council December 5, 2007 Members present: Cathi Barlow, Erin Bolling, Steve Colitz, Tina D’Aversa, Janice Etscovitz, Michelle Olsen, Julie Pinckney and Bill Thompson. Members absent: Laura Commandy 1.  Call to Order: Cathi Barlow called the meeting to order at 5:07 PM.                                                  2.   Approval of Agenda: The agenda was accepted as presented.   3.  Approval of Minutes: motion passed to approve minutes as presented. 4. Old Business- Math Class Visitations – The PTA agreed with the proposed plan for parents to visit their child’s math class during “Math Class Visit Day” which will be held in late January. E Mail Broadcast Protocol – please review the draft document Tina distributed via email, “Email Protocol for HMS, PTA and LSAC” December 4th. Please send her your comments and suggestions. Once all parties approve the protocol, it will be implemented. 5. New Business- New Principal – Announced today, Mr. Bill Thompson was named the new principal for Hopewell Middle School, effective January 2008. Cathi thanked the LSAC Board for their support and leadership during this transitional period. 6. Informational Items – International Dinner - January 31, 2008 Cultural Day – 6th grade – December 18, 2007 7. Adjournment – The meeting adjourned at 5:28 PM. The next meeting will be February 6, 2008.
