Principal’s Search
The position has been posted on the FCBOE website. The posting ends October 30th. There will be a paper review of the applications and a group of the best-qualified applicants will receive invitations to be interviewed. In November, an interview panel consisting of representatives from the HMS staff, parents, central office and school level administrators will interview and rank the applicants. All applicants will be asked the same questions; teachers and parents will have the opportunity to submit their concerns and questions to the committee. The top applicants will be vetted. The results of that process will produce two or three candidates who will be interviewed individually by the superintendent. The superintendent will then make a recommendation to the school board in closed session. If all goes according to plan, we can expect the board to name a new principal for HMS at the December meeting. Our expectation is that HMS will begin second semester with a new principal.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 6:20 pm. The next meeting is scheduled for November 7th at 5 PM.
