Information system

Read all of the following directions BEFORE clicking the link below:

· Click the Georgia Career Information Link at the bottom of this page.

· You will be asked to enter a username and password.

             Username: hopewellms

             Password: gcis2511

· Click “Sign In”

· In the upper right corner of the page click “My Portfolio”

· Under “New Users” click Create “My Portfolio”

· You will be asked to enter the following information:

             Your First Name:

             Your Last Name:

             Username: this is your school login that begins with 699.

             Password: this is the password that you use at school to login to a              computer.

You do not have to enter any of the other information

· Click “Submit”

· Click “Yes”, it is ok to access my portfolio

· Click “Submit”

· Click “Start using the Georgia Career Information System.”

· Click the “SKILLS Assessment” link on the left below Occupations & Employment

· Read the SKILLS page.

· Click “Begin”

· Read over the entire list of skills then:

· Click 5 skills that you find very satisfying

· Click 10 skills that you find moderately satisfying

· Click 20 skills that you find somewhat satisfying

· When you are finished click “Rate Skills”.

· Click “Top 30 Occupations” .

· Click “Print” Type in your name and check “Top 30 Occupations.” Click “Print Selected Items.”

· Click “Save Answers to My GCIS Favorites in My Portfolio”.

· Click “Logout”.

You are now ready to begin. Click the button below and get started!
