Dear Parents,

 

Hopewell Middle School is gearing up for its fifth year, and you and your student(s) are the essential ingredient to our continued success.  In the past four years, Hopewell student groups have been invited to perform at State-level functions and individual students have won competitive awards and recognitions in a variety of areas.  We are looking forward to expanding our reputation for student achievement by continuing with our effective programs and adding innovative new ones.

 

So that you and your children will know what to expect this upcoming school year, we are holding Information Day on Wednesday, August 6, for returning students and their parents (including 6^th grade feeder school students) and recently registered new students.  The hours will be 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.  It is not necessary for students to accompany their parents on August 6, but I’m sure most of them will want to meet their teachers and find out their team assignments.  Included in this packet are forms to be completed and returned on Information Day.  All students, returning and new, are required to have a notarized and completed Affidavit of Residence each school year.

P.E. and Hall Locker rental = $10 (Change: Previously indicated $20)

P.E. Uniform = $20  

PTA Membership

  

(Please bring separate checks for each station)

*We will not have this information available prior to August 6.  We strongly encourage you to make plans to attend Information Day.  If not, you may bring your student(s) to school on August 11 and accomplish these tasks.  Thank you.

 

Important Dates:

 

August 11 First Day of School Hours will be 8:35 a.m. until 3:35 p.m.

August 20 Coffee for Parents new to the area – 10:00 a.m.

August 25 Curriculum Open House for 6^th grade parents

   6:45 p.m. – General meeting in the gym

   7:00 p.m. – Parents go to HR and follow student’s schedule

August 26 Curriculum Open House for 7^th and 8^th grade parents

   Same schedule as above
