Dear Parents:
CRCT testing is over and we're back to class as usual!! With 15 days of school remaining that means a lot of academics and activities packed into a short time.
Friday, May 2, is Georgia Day, a full day of events and exhibits that highlight the eighth grade study of Georgia History. Saturday, May 3, is "An Evening Under the Stars", a showcase of Alpharetta/Milton's finest student artisans on the lawn of Milton High School from 2:45 to 8:30. All three of our performing music groups will be participating in this exciting event as well as displays of our students' art. The week of May 5, is Teacher Appreciation Week; a big thank you to our PTA for planning several meaningful activities to honor our outstanding teachers.
We invite you to come in and review the proposed math text books on display in the media center. The board will make a decision in early June selecting one of the series (see below for additional information).
"Rising 9th grade students will now have the opportunity to enroll in a virtual course this summer. They will be permitted to accomplish the required "general health" and "personal fitness" requirements prior to officially beginning their freshman year. Effective this summer any rising freshman desiring to do so may, through the GA Virtual School or other approved, appropriately accredited resources, take either or both of these course." A registration link is provided on Hopewell's web page.
Congratulations to Lisa Gargan who was selected by the Reflections National Committee for an Award of Excellence in the Dance Choreography category.
Thank you for supporting the teachers and staff.
