Hopewell Middle School opened in August of 2004 with a student population of approximately 870 students. The elementary feeder schools are Manning Oaks, Cogburn Woods and Summit Hill. For high school, two-thirds of Hopewell’s students attend Milton while one-third attends Alpharetta.
As a state-of-the-art middle school, Hopewell provides a myriad of enrichment programs including sports, music, clubs and outreach opportunities. With a strong academic focus, the school implements a rigorous curriculum while providing a bridge between elementary and high school. Hopewell has three assistant principals and two counselors. Principal Bill Thompson has more than 30 years of experience in Fulton County. He began his career as a social studies teacher and coach at Ridgeview High School, and has been an Assistant Principal at two other middle schools prior to coming to Hopewell.
