Text Box: Free Chess at the Alpharetta Library Free chess on Thursday’s at the Alpharetta Library, at 238 Canton Street. The Coach is Mark Couvillion a rated chess player will be the instructor. Library Contact: (770)740-2425. This is a great opportunity for children to learn about chess. Additionally, the Georgia Chess Association (GCA) is the State Chess Organization and sponsors State Chess Championships at all levels. The next event for children is the 2008 Georgia Individual Scholastic Championships.
